400年前から続く名古屋市有松地区の伝統的な染色技法。世界一絞りの技法が 多く、布を縛ったり、折りたたんだり、ねじったりしながら染色することで独特の濃淡や文様が生まれます。

Arimatsu tie-dyeing is a traditional dyeing technique from the Arimatsu district in Nagoya City that has been passed down for 400 years. It boasts the largest variety of tie-dye techniques in the world. By binding, folding, and twisting the fabric during the dyeing process, unique shades and intricate patterns are created.
