Ensure Environmental Conservation and Optimal Supply of Resources and Energy

We help increase the efficiency of energy consumption and promote the introduction of renewable energy and new energy sources. Based on these efforts, we also promote the establishment of a next-generation energy and social system. Efforts have been made to promote recycling in order to reduce the environmental impact and establish a sound recycling-oriented society.
Building a recycling-oriented society
We actively promote the 3R (Reduce, Reuse,Recycle) policy and help to properly enforce recycling laws for respective categories of waste in order to help build a sound recycling-oriented society with minimal environmental impact. To this end, we take full advantage of useful resources in local cities derived from used small electric home appliances (i.e., “urban mines”).
Realizing a low-carbon society and creating next-generation energy and social services
While promoting energy conservation and the Chubu CO2 credit (J-Credit Scheme), we facilitate the introduction of renewable energy (e.g., photovoltaic, wind, biomass),creation of a hydrogen society, and formation of smart communities to achieve an appropriate energy mix.

Appropriate monitoring of the electricity and gas trade
In line with the full liberalization of retail sales of electricity and gas, we work on appropriate monitoring of the electricity and gas trade to ensure fair and free competition. Shin-Aoyama Kogen wind farm, one of the largest in Japan (Photo courtesy of Aoyama-Kogen Wind Farm Co., Ltd.)
