Revitalize the Region by Utilizing Regional Resources

We facilitate the flow of people, goods, money, and information by utilizing (i.e., identifying, improving, and connecting) the unique resources of the Chubu region to enhance the region’s attractiveness and support its development.
Supporting regional revitalization
A “regional revitalization concierge” (in charge of prefectures under its jurisdiction) was established to actively support the regional revitalization efforts. It offers comprehensive services by utilizing the Regional Economy and Society Analyzing System (RESAS) (which utilizes big data) to help solve regional issues.

Business to support regional specialties (utilization of regional resources, agriculturecommerce-industry cooperation, etc.)
We support the development of new products utilizing resources in the Chubu region, and promote business through collaboration between SMEs and individuals/businesses engaged in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries (agriculture-commerce-industry cooperation). Regarding the products derived from such businesses, we facilitate matching with buyers and help expand sales channels outside Japan.

Revitalizing shopping streets and promoting the services industry
We help shopping streets (which play a key role in communities) attract more visitors and support their efforts to increase sales. We also help improve productivity in the service industry, promote Cool Japan, and facilitate design promotion among other initiatives. To promote inter-regional collaboration and area-wide tours/visits, the “Tourism × Shopping streets” project is underway across ministries and agencies to create new demand and expand consumption through Cool Japan products and services which utilize regional resources.
