Infrastructure

The Chubu Area offers a variety of industrial parks, and prices for sites are far more reasonable when compared with the Kanto (Tokyo) and Kinki (Osaka) regions.

There are sites available in research parks etc. that concentrate on R&D type businesses and the R&D sectors of businesses. Many business-incubating facilities are also available. These facilities provide tie-ups with universities and R&D institutions that offer support for starting up businesses.

The JETRO Business Support Center (in Nagoya) provides office space free of charge to overseas businesses that do not have any business base in the Chubu Area.

Companies advancing into the Chubu Area will be capable of securing sites and offices that adequately match their management strategies.

Municipalities are encouraging overseas companies to locate their office sites in its municipality. Various incentives are offered to such companies, such as tax exemption, loans, and subsidies etc. if sites are established in the respective municipality.

The Chubu Area has a number of universities, colleges of technology and higher education institutions with natural science faculties, producing 20,000 graduates every year. Foreign affiliated companies will have no difficulties in securing highly skilled human resources and labor force. In addition, various job-training schemes and facilities are available to provide further training and education for engineers.
